Saturday is the annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive, where people can leave out nonperishable food items for their mail carriers to pick up. The Duluth kickoff was at Super One on Wednesday.

Scott Dulas has been a letter carrier for 20 years, and for the last four of those, he's organized this event.

"I do love this day," he said. "This is my favorite day of the year to be a letter carrier. Not that I don't enjoy delivering mail, because I do. But this is the one day I feel like I can do more and help the community."

Dulas said he knows that many people will be out fishing for Minnesota's opener this weekend, so he and his colleagues will also be picking up food items Friday and Monday. They'll even bring the bags, donated by Super One, right to people's homes.
