The criminal complaint filed on Tuesday said that Janessa Peters just couldn't live with herself anymore.
The Eveleth woman told authorities in August that she wanted to come forward and report she asked to have Harley Jacka killed. According to the complaint, she sais she had been in a relationship with him, and no longer wanted to be.
Jacka was found stabbed and beaten, back in April of 2014, inside an apartment in Virginia. An autopsy found he had at least a dozen stab wounds. At the time, authorities didn't release any details about a motive, but did charge three men.
They are: Bartholamy Drift, John Isham, and Anthony Isham. They have trials pending.
According to the court document Peters told authorities she brought Jacka to a party, with the intention of having him killed. She had allegedly asked Bart Drift to do it, and he reportedly said he would.
Peters appeared in court on Wednesday. Bail was set at $1 million dollars.
