Four people had to be rescued from the ice on Lake Superior Tuesday afternoon, after one of them fell through.

Duluth fire officials said the incident happened at about 5:30 p.m. They said the four people were out on the ice in Canal Park, near the concrete structure known as Uncle Harvey's Mausoleum.

Fire officials said one girl fell through a crack in the ice, but was able to get back out of the water. Rescuers went out to help all four people, and were able to bring everyone in safely. Officials said the people were cold, but no one was injured.

According to the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, two of the four people were children. Fire officials said this is a good reminder that the ice on Lake Superior is not safe right now.
