After fire destroyed the original Famous Dave's in Hayward back in November, they had hoped to serve up those ribs in a temporary location starting early next month. But on Wednesday, they said those plans will have to put that on the back burner for now.

They had set a February 1 date to temporarily open in the closed Canton Garden, 15768 U.S. 63. However, Claire Terrones, a media contact for Famous Dave's, says that equipment delays, cold weather, and high costs have set them back.

Terrones also said on Wednesday they cannot start rebuilding at their Round Lake location until the ongoing insurance claim is closed.

She did not have an estimate as to when that would be.
