Amy Adamle joined the WDIO team in June of 2017. Amy comes to us from Minneapolis, after graduating with a degree in journalism from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. She grew up just east of the cities and is happy she can launch her career not too far from home.

During college, Amy interned at KARE11, WCCO, and CNN in New York. During her internships, she worked with reporters on stories including Prince's death and the trial of the man in the Jacob Wetterling case. She also covered parts of the 2016 presidential election and had the chance to interview presidential candidate, Gary Johnson.

“The internships I had opened many doors for me and really introduced me to the world of news,” she said. “I'm so thankful for all of the amazing people I met that helped me get to where I am today.”

In her free time, Amy loves to travel, try new restaurants, and take in a good concert. She is excited to expand her outdoorsy side in the Northland, and hit the trails. She also loves sports and is a dedicated Gopher fan--who is being wooed by Bulldog fans!

The most important things in Amy's life are her friends and family. She's grateful for all of the support she's had along the way and is excited to get to know the Northland community.
