The group Minnesota Miners has taken a step further in their efforts to promote the importance of copper-nickel mining. They've purchased a billboard along I-35, which went up on Monday on the northbound side near the Highway 210 exit.

The headline says, Life Without Mining, and then shows that there wouldn't be trucks, cell phones, or computers. Below the pictures, it says, "Support Copper-Nickel Mining."

There's also a GoFundMe page to help sustain the billboard, and purchase future ones. On the page, it says, "Minnesota Miners wants to educate and bring attention to mining using billboards along our highways. Our group wants to place as many billboards as possible around the state and bring attention to how mining plays a huge part in providing jobs, revenue, and school trust funds. Please help us keep our first billboard up for many months and add others around the state. Learn the truth about mining and help spread the word."
