According to Cliffs, the money will pay for new playground equipment for the new child care center in Eveleth called Brandie's Little Bears. It will be the largest child care center in the Quad Cities, with room for 142 children.

Last year, Cliffs donated $45,000 to Iron Range Tykes, for playground equipment there. That center opened in Mt. Iron.
