Saturday is the big day.

Many anglers want walleyes, for northerns, this is the second year of a pike regulation that affects the Northland.

"We are in the area of a two fish limit for northern pike and also a ten fish limit, so people need to look at the regs and find where the dividing line is and make sure they know if they're in the area where they can keep two or keep ten," says DNR Conservation Officer Kipp Duncan.

The dividing line is U.S. Highway 53. More details can be found in the DNR's Handbook and the DNR's website.
