A big day for the inpatient pharmacy at St. Luke's Hospital. A $1.5 million dollar remodel is now complete, and staff are enjoying the expanded space.

"There's great joy and happiness. We've been planning this for two years. To see this day come, and celebrate with the community, it's really wonderful," explained Gina Lemke, St. Luke's Director of Pharmacy.

In the 4,200 square foot space, pharmacists take care of all the patients' medication needs in the hospital. But they also bring in $45 million dollars worth of medication for all of their clinics and hospitals through this facility.

Along with consolidated workspaces, sterile cleanrooms, and a designated shipping/receiving area, the pharmacy also boasts important security upgrades. It will make it more efficient and pleasant for workers.

Scalzo Architects and Donald Holm Construction were partners on the project.

The Chamber helped celebrate the moment with a ribbon cutting.
