St. Luke's CEO steps down

Nokels was hired in June 2019 and started at St. Luke's in August. The hospital did not give a reason for his departure. 

"We thank Kevin for the talent he brought to St. Luke's, especially during this incredibly challenging pandemic," Board Vice Chair Herb Minke said. 

In the meantime, St. Luke's will be headed up by co-presidents/CEOs. 

Dr. Nick Van Deelen, the current Chief Medical Officer, and Eric Lohn, St. Luke's Chief Financial Officer, will share the job at least through the middle of 2021. 

The Board of Directors plans to "re-evaluate and determine the permanent organizational structure" then.
