Tania McVean, the center's director, said, "We have an amazing team of nurses and doctors who do great things for wound care patients in this community. We're good at healing folks, and getting them back to regular life."

Healogics, which says it's the nation's largest provider of advanced wound healing services, presented the awards, which also included a designation of Center of Excellence and the President's Circle Award.

According to McVean, they scored highly in healing rate and patient satisfaction. "We're really proud of the very specific care we give here." Some of the types of patients they treat include accident victims, those with chronic wounds, and some with diabetic ulcers.
