Scrubs and gowns are a common sight in the hospital. But learning how to put them on, and handle yourself in a sterile environment, takes practice.

That's why St. Luke's hosted a Scrubs Class for nearly 30 students learning to be Physician Assistants at St. Scholastica. It's the second year this learning event has taken place.

Dave LaBore, an assistant professor at CSS and Physician Assistant at the Wound Clinic at St. Luke's, shared this, "They are going to start doing their rotations in September. So going into surgical rotation is stressful. Learning how to simply scrub and the sterile technique is important. That way they can hit the ground running."

Some of the things the St. Luke's staff showed them were how to properly scrub, and then how to put on the gloves.
