New Jersey-based Tris Pharma issued the recall, which included three lots of Infants' Ibuprofen Concentrated Oral Suspension, USP (NSAID).

According to the company, infants, who are more susceptible to a higher potency level of drug, could be more vulnerable to permanent NSAID-associated renal injury.

Affected infants who have ingested the higher-concentration ibuprofen might experience nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, headache, and gastrointestinal bleeding, among other issues.

Tris Pharma has recalled the 0.5 oz. bottles for the following lots:

  • National Drug Code: 49035-125-23 Lot: 00717009A with expiration Feb. 2019
  • National Drug Code: 49035-125-23 Lot: 00717015A with expiration April 2019
  • National Drug Code: 49035-125-23 Lot:  00717024A with expiration Aug. 2019
  • National Drug Code: 59779-925-23 Lot: 00717024A with expiration Aug. 2019
  • National Drug Code: 55319-250-23 Lot: 00717024A with expiration Aug. 2019

Those with questions about the recall can contact Tris Customer Service at 1-732-940-0358 (Monday through Friday) or via email.
