CSS hosted a graduation celebration for the 28 members of the college's inaugural cohort. The students started the program in 2017. Graduates are expected to practice in underserved urban or rural settings, where the need for trained professionals is greatest.

St. Scholastica is proud of their innovative PA curriculum, where students use high-tech classrooms and medical simulation software. It's the only Physician Assistant program north of the Twin Cities.

Saturday's graduation celebration included a welcome address from Carolyn Jahr, MS, assistant professor of PA studies, as well as a reflection from graduating student, Amy Blakeslee. The keynote speaker was Leslie Milteer, a family medicine PA at North Memorial Health Clinic in Golden Valley, MN. Plus, recognition of the candidates for graduation was given by Dr. Kim Kruger, associate professor and St. Scholastica PA program chair.
