Ricky D'ambrosio's mother posted on her Facebook page a picture of her son heavily sedated, paralyzed, and in a medically induced coma.

After a night out with his family, he started showing signs that his mother believed were from the flu.

"We were having a great time, eating, laughing, joking around," says Christy D'ambrosio, Ricky's mother. "And on the way home he said he started feeling bad. And we got home and he started throwing up. And he continued to throw up for five days."

His mother did know that Ricky vaped and although she wasn't a fan of this habit, she wants to spread the word of the dangers of vaping so no one else ends up like her son.

The CDC is currently investigating 215 possible cases of severe pulmonary disease associated with the use of vaping products in 25 states.
