As of 8 a.m., Minnesota Power's Outage Map reported around 50 people without service. At one point, over 2,000 people were in the dark. Most of the outages occurred just east of the Foot Hills State Park area and the Crosby area.

In addition, Lake Country Power's Outage Map showed around 300 residents without power. These outages were spread throughout the areas of Leech Lake, Grand Rapids, and Lake Vermillion.

Crews from both companies were out and about overnight and into the morning, trying to restore power to all customers.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
