Some might think that a Shakespeare play is complicated and hard to follow. However, Kevin Walsh, who is taking on the role of Shylock, says the cast makes the play more adaptable to audiences. There will be profound moments that make people think a bit as well.

"Shakespeare speaks to a specific time in history, but his themes are universal," Walsh explains.

The play also involves a heavy dose of humor. Walsh encourages audiences to bring tons of laughs as the cast feeds off the energy of the audience.

Folks have three more chances to see the play this weekend at Lincoln Park Middle School's Auditorium. On Friday and Saturday, the show begins at 7:30 pm, and Sunday's matinee showing begins at 2 p.m.
