Lottery Director Cindy Polzin told reporters at a news conference Thursday that a Speedway gas station in New Berlin in suburban Milwaukee sold the winning ticket. The station will receive $100,000 for selling the ticket.

Polzin says the winner hasn't been identified. The person has 180 days to come forward.

If the winner opts for a cash payout instead of annuities, the prize is worth $477 million. Annuities would be paid out over 29 years.

Wisconsin Revenue Secretary Peter Barca says if the winner takes the cash option, the state would receive $38 million in tax revenue. He wasn't sure how much tax revenue the state would collect each year if the winner takes annuities.

A statement on the Powerball website says that due to strong ticket sales, the jackpot climbed to an estimated $768.4 million at the time of the drawing with a cash option of $477 million. It was originally estimated to be the 4th largest jackpot.

Seven tickets matched all five white balls but missed matching the red Powerball to win a $1 million prize.

According to the Minnesota State Lottery, there was plenty of luck in Minnesota as well.

A ticket worth $2 million was sold at the Holiday Station at 2500 Orleans Street in Stillwater. The ticket matched the first five numbers, which normally is worth $1 million.  The player added the Power Play option to their purchase for an extra $1 and the prize was doubled.

Three tickets worth $50,000 were sold in Minnesota
