The ensemble is hosting their annual Valentine's Day Swing Dance. "Big Band" era Classics from the likes of Glenn Miller, Thomas Dorsey, and more are on the docket.

UW-Superior's Jazz Program Director, Dr. Greg Kehl Moore explains they've been rehearsing the songs for around three weeks, but some students already have the material learned from playing at the event last year.

Band member Phill Wilken says he enjoys being able to play a type of music that not many people listen to in this day and age.

For folks who don't know how to swing dance, a professional from Twin Ports Dance will be on hand to give a few tips. However, it's not required to dance.

Dr. Moore says the event, held at the Yellowjacket Union Room, has grown in crowd presence over the years. The room is split into three sections, and for the first time, all sections will be open for the dance.

Things kick off at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for seniors.
