Tomorrow, student-athletes from the university will be at Super One Foods in Superior bell ringing from 10 a.m - 8 p.m. for the Salvation Army. On Wednesday, athletes will be visiting different seniors at different living centers around Superior.

On Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m., they'll go door-to-door in Superior as a part of the annual "Caroling for Cans" food drive benefiting the food shelf at St. Vincent de Paul. Organizers say that, last year, they donated almost 1,000 pounds of food.

"It's a great opportunity for us to get volunteer hours in the community," Zack Mazurek with the UWS cross country team says.

Mathea Brink is also on the cross country team. She says the community does so much for them and it feels good for her to show their appreciation.
