The show is based on the Roth's Department Store, which opened in 1889 in Superior, according to Jane Wester, one of the performers for Time Arc Theatre.  She said the popular place closed in 1978.

"The show takes place in 1943 in Roth's advertising department and the main character is Ruth Johnson, who works in that department," Wester said.  "It's kind of a story of middle age love.  She gets a phone call that totally changes her life and it takes off from there."

Kathy Kadlecek plays Auntie Lulu and said her character is very crazy and not like herself.  She said she has a lot of fun playing her.

Wester plays the neighbor, Mary, and said she's crazy as well.

"It's so fun, because as a kid I remember shopping at Roth's," Kadlecek said. "I just remember how pretty it was and how every holiday they would change the decorations."

There are three more performances of "You'll Find it at Roth's."  You can see it on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and 1 p.m. on Sunday.  They're located at the Empire Building on Tower Ave. in Superior.  You can buy tickets here or at the door an hour before performances.
