Tech Bytes: Lyme Scooter Recall, China Singles Day

In today's Tech Bytes, some 'Lime' electric scooters may be lemons. Lime is taking some of its electric scooters out of service, because they could break apart while in use. That may have contributed to two deaths. Other lime scooters were recalled last month, because of a fire risk.


The world's biggest online shopping day shattered records. "Single's Day' is China's version of Cyber Monday. Online retailer 'Alibaba' racked up nearly $31 billion in sales. For comparison, last year's Cyber Monday sales in the US topped $6 billion for all digital sales.

Thousands of british workers may soon be implanted with microchips to boost security, but it's raising concerns about privacy. A company says it's in talks with several legal and financial firms in the UK to provide microchips that allow a person to open doors and access offices with the wave of a hand.
