Tech Bytes: Dating Site Lawsuit, Self Driving

In today's Tech Bytes, dating sites, paying up. The company that owns Christian Mingle, J-date and other online dating sites will repay users nearly a million dollars. That's for automatically renewing subscriptions, or denying requested refunds. It's also paying a $500,000.


Rolls Royce could soon be gliding across the seas. The company is working with chip-maker Intel to build self-driving ships. The system uses cameras, radar and lasers to guide the vessels. The goal is to launch the first un-crewed ships by 2025.

There's a camera that's so fast it can see light moving in slow motion. It uses what's called compressed ultrafast photography and captures images at 10- trillion frames per second. US and Canadian scientists are using it to track the movement of light beams, frame by frame.
