The Newborn Northland Foundation hosted event next Thursday features top-tier local culinary talent whipping up some delectable dishes.

"We tell the chefs to bring their A game," Annie Lepper with the foundation say. "We don't require them to bring anything that's currently on their menu. If they want to try and get experimental they are welcome to do so."

Attendees will see chefs from Zeitgeist, Canal Park Brewing, Clyde Iron Works, MidCoast Catering, and other places.

Those who go will be giving money to a foundation that supports families with a newborn that has complications. Ali Comnick with the foundation says this includes premature births or babies in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Lepper adds that Essentia Health in Duluth has the only NICU in the area. She says it's a burden for families in the region, who aren't in the Twin Ports, to have to travel there.

"To be able to help out in any way possible, we're happy to do so," she says.

The event is at Clyde Iron Works from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15. Click here to buy tickets.
