This year, organizers are heavily highlighting culture as a theme. Featured musical performers on Saturday will represent some of the many ethnic origins that are part of Duluth's history. In addition, officials with the event have created a new logo, which includes more than a dozen country flags. Co-producer Tracy Lundeen says the aim is to emulate the old International Folk Festival that was held at Leif Erickson park for many years.

Wearable buttons with the logo are being sold for $10 and act as a ticket into the VIP tent. People there will be able to win various prizes. Part of the proceeds from these sales will go to the Bluebird Foundation.

Lundeen says there are a record number of vendors are scheduled to be there. Along with food, there are various craft-makers and nonprofits that fill that fill the park.

Taste of Duluth runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. It's open to everyone.
