The event, hosted by Port of Duluth Kiwanis, will feature an array of classic breakfast foods like pancakes, sausage, doughnuts, and coffee. During the meal, attendees will be serenaded to the sound of a local orchestra and other live entertainers.

Cordelia Swanson with the Port of Duluth Kiwanis Club says kids young and old look forward to seeing the man in the big red suit each year.

"He has candy canes," she says. "Everyone gets to pick a book."

Swanson says that getting kids to read is a goal of Kiwanis. All proceeds from the event go toward the Duluth Public Library's "Kaleidoscope" summer program, which provides free, public entertainment to people of all ages.

The breakfast is this Saturday from 8:00 a.m to 12:00 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person or $20 for a family.

Call 218-390-0132 for tickets and other questions.
