Ryan Anderson reached the finish line in Lutsen just after 7:19 a.m. Monday. Anderson is no stranger to victory in this race. He took home first-place honors back in 2001.

This time around, he beat out a competitive crew of mushers that included Martha Schouweiler, who won the four previous years.

Full marathoners were still trekking toward their finish line in Grand Portage Monday morning. The first musher is expected to cross that line Tuesday afternoon. Click here to track when racers reach checkpoints.
