"Last year was very, very cold," Nick Budnik with the Duluth Parks and Recreations Department says. "It was challenging, even for me as someone who works outside, to be out there for any amount of time."

In case of cold tempuratures during the event, Budnik recommends bundling up. However, there will be plenty of places and activities that will keep people warm throughout the weekend. There are plans for fire rings, heated tents, activities inside and more.

"People have the ability to stay relatively inside while actually learning about the cold and the things you can do in the cold," he says.

Other attractions include a snow play hill, snow sculpting, a flag football tournament, fat tire biking live music, and a number of local vendors.

It runs Feb 1 - 3 in Canal Park. Click here for a full schedule of events.
