North Shore Federal Credit Union started their Hunger Heroes program in March of 2016.  To date, they've raised around $90,000 and they're hoping to reach $100,000 by the end of 2018.

You can sign up for automatic monthly donations or a one-time donation and right now NSFCU is matching members' donations up to $3,000.

They said the organizations they donate to, appreciate the money donations because they go a long way.

"I think people get excited about it because all of the donations go to help hunger prevention programs along the North Shore and so when it gets that specific to helping people that are your friends and neighbors, I think that's when people get excited about it," Mark Summers, the President of North Shore Federal Credit Union, said.

If you want to sign up to be a Hunger Hero and help the North Shore Federal Credit Union reach their goal, you can go to their website.
