1. Respond vs. React

- if someone upsets you, take a deep breath and count to 10 to avoid saying something that could worsen the circumstance.

2. Pick your battles

- ask yourself: "on a scale of 1-10, how important is this situation?"

3. Disagree agreeably

- show respect for the other person's opinion.
