'Cabaret' follows a "seedy dive" called the Kit Kat Klub in 1930s Berlin. Emcee Sally Bowles (played by Scorich) and a stellar ensemble of dancing girls, take the stage each night to 'tantalize' and entertain the crowd. One night, an American author named Cliff Bradshaw (played by Shad Olsen) visits the club, and becomes infatuated with Sally and her way of making life a Cabaret. All of this takes place during the rise of the Nazi Party.

The show is performed at The Underground in Duluth. Scorich explains that the venue has been transformed into a "thrust stage," which allows folks to be closely immersed and involved in the play.

"The audience gets to be a part of it and we're really in your face," she explained.

Olsen and Scorich tout that classic songs like "Cabaret," "Willkommen," " Money," and "Two Ladies" make up just a small taste of the epic score for this musical.

'Cabaret' begins Thursday, August 3 at The Underground, located at the lower level of the Duluth Depot. Shows run every Thursday, Friday and Saturday through August 19. Click here to buy tickets.
