The flashlight tours have been around for a number of years, but a couple of years ago, they decided put a twist on it, Jane Pederson, the Marketing Manager for Glensheen, said.

"We wanted the opportunity for our guests to experience the mansion in not only a different light, per say, but also in a new way with a drink in hand," Pederson said.

Guests can bring the drink inside the mansion.  They also get a complimentary glass and sippy cup cover.

The guests will be allowed to drink Ballast Point beer, which has a history tied to the mansion.

"Ballast Point uses Congdon hops," Pederson said.  "Chester Congdon started an orchard out in Yakima Valley, Washington, after making his money in mining and eventually over time, hops kind of took over the orchard."

Pederson says people really enjoy seeing the mansion in a new light and seeing pieces of the mansion that come alive with detail.  Guests can also check out the third floor.

The tour is only offered for a limited time.  It runs on Fridays and Saturdays from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. until March 16.   Click here for tickets.
