An exciting and thrilling production is set to hit the UW-Superior stage this weekend.  It's called "Gaslight."

The story is about a woman named Bella Manningham in the late 1800s according to Anissa Peppersack, the stage manager.  The character has a history of mental health issues and she's worried she may be having some of the same issues, until a charming police officer shows up in her life and things aren't as the seem.

"I play Sergeant Ruff, the aforementioned charming detective, seemingly coming out of nowhere and sweeping Bella up into this murder case," Kane Wallner said.

As the stage manager, Peppersack said she has a lot of responsibilities.

"The main responsibility is making sure the show runs smoothly and exactly how the director has planned and cultivated throughout the entire process every single time the show is performed," Peppersack said.  "The stage manager is also a link of communication through all the departments."

She said it's been rewarding seeing it come together.

"This is such a great cast," Wallner said.  "I think we'll be able to get it all together and put on a great show on Friday."

"Gaslight" will be at UW-Superior on November 15, 16, 17, 22, 23, and 24.  Tickets range from $5 to $15.
