52 years. That's how long the Duluth Woman's Club "Tour of Homes and Gardens" has been going on.

This time around, five 'beautiful' homes and three 'lovely' gardens will be on display on Wednesday, July 17. Rolene Lampi, who is part of the club, says Lake Superior will be a highlight of the tour.

"As the participants tour," she says, "they'll see homes with magnificent panoramic views of Lake Superior and the Aerial Lift Bridge."

Those who go will get to see a mix of apartments, condos and single-home structures. In addition, Lampi explains it will be refreshing to see some flowers.

"I think after our long winter, we're ready for some colorful perennials and annuals," Lampi says.

Proceeds go toward expenses of the "Harman House." The club purchased the historic home from Alexander and Katherine Hartman back in 1936. Members are hoping to preserve it for future generations. It's available to use for weddings, parties and other public events.

Click here or call the clubhouse at (218)-724-3168 to purchase tickets.
