The "City on the Hill" Music Festival annually puts on Christian music concerts for thousands from around the Midwest.

"It kind of runs the gamut in terms of style," Niki Corbin says of the different kinds of music that's expected.

Corbin is the Station Manager for LIFE 97.3 and FAITH 90.5 in Duluth. She explains there will be rock artists as well as acoustic musicians.

One artist, Derek Charles Johnson, performed last year and is returning to kick off the festival. Corbin says there are some other returning artists, but mainly 'fresh new faces.'

One notable artist is the rock group Skillet. Their album 'Awake' went platinum in 2012 and they've sold more than one million albums in the US.

The festival is Friday, Aug. 1 and Saturday, Aug. 2.
