Thunder is a big ball of energy that loves people. He's a 7-year-old American shelter dog that needs new places to explore.

"He's cute," Nicole Facciotto with Animal Allies says, "but not quite as cute in his kennel."

She says his loud voice and jumpy personality might be the reason why he's been at the shelter longer than other pets. However, once he's out, he's more calm.

"He's really people-oriented, so I think that's why he gets so worked up when he sees somebody new outside his kennel," Facciotto says.

The Duluth-based shelter believes he'd be better as an only pet and in a house with older kids.

Animal Allies' "Great Ducky Adoption" Event is coming up Saturday, March 30. Families can come by the shelter and adopt a rubber duck in need of a home. All proceeds go toward the shelter's humane education program.

If you'd like to adopt Thunder, visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or give them a call at 218-722-5341. Click here to see more animals available for adoption.
