10-month-old Rilea is a beautiful three-legged cat with an exploring mind. She's up for adoption at Animal Allies Humane Society in Duluth.

Nicole Facciotto with Animal Allies says the feline was brought to the shelter as a stray with a broken leg. Unfortunately, it could not be fixed and needed to be amputated.  However, that doesn't stop her from walking around like any other cat.

"She loves to play and is (so) people oriented," Facciotto says.

The 10-month-old will reciprocate any love and affection given to her.

Rilea is the perfect example of the kind of animal that the "Healing Hearts and Paws Fund" helps. The initiative helps pay for more expensive medical procedures.

If you'd like to adopt Rilea, visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or give them a call at 218-722-5341. Click here to see more animals available for adoption.
