Animal Allies: Mugsy

Created: September 19, 2019 09:06 AM

This cute is named Mugsy and his name is very fitting, because he's got quite the mug on him.

Nicole Facciotto, with Animal Allies, said he's been there for about two weeks and he's still adjusting.

"He came to us and he was very, very scared," Facciotto said.  "Didn't want to come out of his kennel, would just hide anytime he was outside, so it took us awhile to get him to warm up and get comfortable and confident with all of us."

She said after they took things slow for awhile, he's starting to warm up to everybody, but new things still make him a little anxious.

"He seems to really really like kids.  Anytime there's a kid around he gets kind of excited and his little ears perk up," Facciotto said.

He's also great with dogs, but doesn't like when they jump on his back.

"I think he'll be a great snuggler, that's what I'm excited for," Facciotto said.  "Whoever takes him home has to send me pictures, once he's finally up on the couch."

He's a sweet and gentle giant, but she said he's aware of his size.

He just needs a patient home that will give him time to settle in.

If you'd like to adopt Mugsy, visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or give them a call at 218-722-5341. Click here to see more animals available for adoption.
