With the cold weather recently, it's been somewhat of a culture shock for Miles. However, Nicole Facciotto with Animal Allies says he's adjusting fairly well.

"He's figuring it out minus the whole 'bambi on ice' thing going on," she says.

Those who like to go for runs, walks, or do anything active will find a perfect match in this dog.

Facciotto says he still get skittish at times, but as long as you take it slow and bribe him with treats once in a while, he'll warm up to you.

The Subaru "Adopt-a-Pet" event with Animal Allies was successful with many pets being adopted. However, the shelter is still full of other dogs and cats waiting for their forever home.

"If you weren't able to make it to that event," Facciotto says," we still have tons of dogs, tons of cats that are looking for homes."

Those who want to help the shelter and get a bite to eat at the same time should head to Toppers Pizza in Duluth next Thursday. Purchases made in-store will go towards Animal Allies' Enrichment Fund.

If you'd like to adopt Miles, visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or give them a call at 218-722-5341. Click here to see more animals available for adoption.
