Nicole Facciotto with Animal Allies says he is always the cat at the shelter that's reaching through the bars and is always eager to meet everyone that visits.

"All black animals at the shelter tend to be overlooked," she says. "They don't really have any big colors or patterns popping out at you..."

There are quite a few at the shelter that would love to be adopted.

The "Fitgers Furry Film Festival" is coming up Feb. 8 at Fitger's Complex in Duluth. Facciotto says people have been submitting their fun pet videos. Tickets are $25. All proceeds go toward helping the animals at the shelters. Click here to learn more.

If you'd like to adopt Mickey, visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or give them a call at 218-722-5341. Click here to see more animals available for adoption.
