"At the shelter she's a little more shy," Nicole Facciotto with Animal Allies in Duluth says. "She takes a little bit of time to warm up to people."

She's typically hanging out at the back However, she has a "big" personality once she comes out of her shell. Facciotto explains she also becomes very playful.

"She loves her scratching post and laser pointers and string toys," she says.

The only requirement for Maude is that she's the only cat in the house. Facciotto has heard from others that this feline would make for a great "lap cat."

Anyone who purchases a collar or leash from Animal Allies will get a free ID engraving. Remember, the shelter also does microchipping for pets.

If you'd like to adopt Maude, visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or give them a call at 218-722-5341. Click here to see more animals available for adoption.
