"You would think she's a puppy, " Nicole Facciotto with Animal Allies says.

This dog has a copious amount of energy to spare and loves to play with mostly anyone.

"Somebody that's active and likes to go for walks or hikes, that would be perfect for her," Facciotto says.

In addition, she's an intelligent dog that seem easily trainable. She already knows basic commands like 'sit,' 'shake,' and 'high-five.'

Lucy will also make for a great dog to snuggle with at the end of the day once her energy is burned off.

The majority of fireworks from the holiday week may be done, but Facciotto reminds pet owners that they can call the shelter if their pet gets scared of the fireworks and runs off.

"Where the animal goes missing determines where they go, whether it's us or animal control," she says.

Getting an animals identification up to date is also important to do around this time of year.

If you'd like to adopt Lucy, visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or give them a call at 218-722-5341. Click here to see more animals available for adoption.
