Callie is a 12-year-old Calico cat clawing for a forever home. However, she wants her best friend, 13-year-old Billie, to come with her.

Nicole Facciotto with Animal Allies says the two came into the shelter together and that's how they want to be adopted.

When pairs of pets come in, they conduct a separation test. If one of the duo shows signs of stress like not eating or pacing, the shelter will get an understanding they are bonded and need to be adopted together.

Callie was the only one that could make it to the set of GMN as Facciotto says it takes a little work to get Billie to go anywhere in the morning. A calmer home would be better for the two as it will give Billie a chance to warm up to her surroundings and new family.

"They're definitely not a huge fans of dogs," she says. "If you've got a home with cats or no other animals, they will definitely be your princesses."

Animal Allies has taken care of all adoption fees for any cat that’s 7 years old or older at the shelter, so those who have ever thought about adopting one might want to visit and take advantage of this deal.

If you'd like to adopt Callie and Billie, visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or give them a call at 218-722-5341. Click here to see more animals available for adoption.
