Animal Allies: Cake

Animal Allies has "Cake" up for adoption at their shelter in Duluth right now. Nicole Facciotto, who works for Animal Allies, thinks it might be because he's so sweet.

This 2-year-old was brought in as a stray and hasn't had an easy life. He has multiple scratches on his face and one of his ears is rounded off, possibly from a fight or frostbite.

Now, he's laid-back and patiently waiting for someone to adopt him. He's prefer being the only pet of the household, but he's great with people of all ages.

"He's respectful, polite and seems to love the attention," Facciotto says.

She says there seems to be some confusion right now between Animal Allies and The City of Duluth Animal Control. Facciotto says Duluth Animal Control has around 70 to 80 cats. Animal Allies partners with them, but are a separate entity and have their own cats up for adoption. Once Cake and other felines are adopted, they'll have more space to take more cats from the city.

If you'd like to adopt Cake, visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or give them a call at 218-722-5341. Click here to see more animals available for adoption.
