Buffalo is a friendly, fabulous five-year-old feline hoping to find his forever home.

He is somewhat timid when it comes to an active scene, so a more calm, relaxing home may be better for this cat.

"We have camp going on right now, so as soon as kids come in or it gets a little more rowdy he definitely kind of retreats to the back of his kennel," Nicole Facciotto with Animal Allies says.

She jokes that the name Buffalo may not have been best-suited for this animal as he has a coat of hair that's almost "lion'esque."

"If you take home a longer-haired cat, putting in that extra time to do some brushing will really help with that coat in the long run.

Animal Allies shelter in Duluth has new Sunday hours. They're open from Noon to 6 p.m. now instead of Noon to 4 p.m. They're also selling $10 "discount cards" with proceeds going towards the Healing Hearts & Paws Fund. Click here to learn more and to purchase one.
