Nicole Facciotto with Animal Allies said there's been lots of interest with Boe, but people seem to be scared off by the price of medical care required for him.

"We want to make sure he's going to go somewhere that is going to be able to afford everything he's going to need," she said.

Facciotto explained it's her first time in all her years at Animal Allies with a pet that has such expensive, on-going medical needs. However, a veterinarian is looking at other options that might make it cheaper for Boe's adopter.

Animal Allies' Summer Camp started earlier this week, but there are still openings available for later this summer.

"It's a really great opportunity if you have kiddos at home that love animals and want to get involved," Facciotto said.

If you'd like to adopt Boe, visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or give them a call at 218-722-5341. Click here to see more animals available for adoption.
