Bjorne is 5 years old and has tons of energy to spare. This brown fox terrier is looking, with Animal Allies, for his forever home.

"First thing out of the kennel, he is bouncing off the walls," Nicole Facciotto with Animal Allies says. "He's so excited to get outside, go for a walk, run around in our play yard..."

She says he's getting used to the Minnesota snow, but still shows signs of getting cold at times. It's recommended to have the 5-year-old dressed in a jacket and "booties" when going outside during the winter.

Bjorne is a little selective with other dogs and might be better for him to be adopted into a family without any other pets.

Animal Allies is having their "Holi-Dazzle" retail open house on Saturday. From 12 to 6 p.m., folks can visit the shelter to get their pets all sorts of gifts while enjoying cookies and hot cocoa. In addition, Northland native Dan Urshan will hold a book signing for his book "Where's Duke?"

It tells the story of how Animal Allies helped Urshan reunite him with his dog.

If you'd like to adopt Bjorne, visit Animal Allies at 4006 Airport Road or give them a call at 218-722-5341. Click here to see more animals available for adoption.
