Animal Allies: Bernie

Bernie is a beautiful, loving 2-year-old pup in search of a new home. He has a temporary home thanks to Animal Allies' "Adoption Ambassador" program, but he'd like to find a permanent placement.

The program allows him to live in a foster's home instead of the Duluth facility. His foster gets to care for, advertise, and take him out in public every once in a while. 

"It makes the shelter experience easy on dogs that are really young and energetic and have a busy brain," Nicole Facciotto with Animal Allies says.

This is especially helpful for Bernie, who has an up-tempo personality. Facciotto says the 2-year-old can be easily trained with the help of treats. He believes he is still a lap dog and will sit on someone's lap "all day everyday" if they let him.
