The helpline connects people with local treatment services and recovery resources for any kind of substance use disorder.

This new service is available to anyone, whether it's someone who wants to get help themselves or someone who is reaching out to help a friend or a loved one with their addiction.

"It's hard for people to either admit they need the help, or for people who are calling because of a loved one, it's just a hard thing to do and it's a hard thing to have running your life or running your loved one's life,", Amy Fluno, the 2-1-1 Program Director for United Way of Wisconsin, said.  "It was definitely needed as a one place for you to get that kind of information."

To get help, you can call 2-1-1 or 833-944-4673.

You can also find more information on their website.
