Confirmed Tornado Near Grand Forks

The National Weather Service confirmed a tornado was observed a little after 1 p.m. Wednesday near Hatton, North Dakota, which is about 26 miles southwest of Grand Forks.

The funnel was reported by the service as nearly stationary in the sky and was expected to remain near the rural areas of southeast Grand Forks county, WDAY reports.
